P2P STAFF HAS BEEN WHERE YOU WANT TO GO

Over the past 18 years, our staff has grown to become the largest baseball training knowledge base in Minnesota. With roots from 29 of the 30 MLB organizations, P2P Staff has played and coached at every level of the game, and dedicates their time and energy to help young players navigate the training, competition, and mental aspects of getting to their next levels.

The current Pitch 2 Pitch staff includes:

ROOKIES (9-11U)

Coaches will progress through this stage with players helping them graduate up to the Youth level (12-14U)

YOUTH (12-14U)

Coaches will progress with players from 12-13U and then graduate to 14U. 14U is a pivotal transition stage so we keep coaches here to help bridge youth to high school with the big field.

HS (15-18U)

Coaches progress through two stages here. 15-16U and 17-18U. Like all our coaches, we like to keep players together on a calendar format (Summer-Fall) as Winter = Training and that is covered by the entire P2P staff.

RECRUITING DIRECTOR – KEVIN KIRKWOLD

Kevin Kirkwold joined the P2P Millers Staff in 2017. Coach Kirkwold was a Lions All-Star at Mounds View High School and played collegiately at Winona State. Previous coaching positions included Simley High School, Academy of Holy Angels, Inver Grove Heights Legion, and various clubs. Coach Kirkwold has collegiate coaching experience as an assistant coach at DCTC. Kirkwold helps oversee the P2P Millers program and serves as the Millers Varsity Coach.

DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS – BRETT THORNEY

Brett will oversee all programs as well as coach with our Millers & help develop our hitting programs. Thorney has some of the most experience in the industry from our state. Thorney was recently the PBR AZ Scouting Director for almost 3 years. He also has plenty of knowledge of Club Baseball as he founded Twin Cities Baseball Academy, which was one of MN’s most competitive travel teams before his move to AZ. Thorney is also known for his work with hitters & his overall development of baseball players which you can see in some of the names hes developed in the past. He has helped countless athletes to the next level & has also served as an associate scout for two MLB clubs over the years. We’re excited to have this type of experience on staff and have Thorney start working with & guiding our players.
