Over the past 18 years, our staff has grown to become the largest baseball training knowledge base in Minnesota. With roots from 29 of the 30 MLB organizations, P2P Staff has played and coached at every level of the game, and dedicates their time and energy to help young players navigate the training, competition, and mental aspects of getting to their next levels.

OWNER, CEO
C J Woodrow founded P2P in 2004 to bring Minnesota youth and high school baseball players a year-round dedicated training environment for the first time. Woodrow graduated from Maple Grove High School. An all-time great Golden Gopher Pitcher, Woodrow holds the all-time program records for innings pitched and strikeouts. In addition to being a 4X Big Ten Champion, C J was the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year in 2002, the first Gopher to ever win the award. After his Gopher career, the Phillies selected Woodrow in the 25th round of the 2003 MLB Draft. Over four years in the Phillies and Royals organizations, C J threw 236 innings and struck out 164 hitters. Woodrow has spent the past 17 years dedicated to training thousands of P2P athletes, developing the P2P Network, and contributing all across the local baseball ecosystem.
VELOCITY DIRECTOR
Matt Mossey has impacted hundreds of athletes since joining the P2P Millers Staff in 2012. He has played and coached at every level of the game. Mossey was named All-State at Coon Rapids High School, and went on to both pitch and play infield at NDSU, the University of Iowa, and during three summers in the with the Mankato Moondogs of the Northwoods League. Mossey later spent three seasons as a pro, being named a Northern League All-Star in 2010, and winning Northern League Championships in 2009 and 2011 with the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks. Coach Mossey spent a year as an Undergraduate Assistant Coach with the University of Iowa. In addition to being a Sr. Instructor, the Velocity Director, and a longtime Millers Coach, Mossey is the Head Varsity and Legion Coach at Coon Rapids High School.

Matt Erzar became the P2P Player Development Director in 2019. After a successful high school career in Grand Rapids, Erzar played collegiately at NDSU, where he was a four-year letterwinner as a pitcher. Summer coaching assignments have included stints in the Northwoods League, the PG Collegiate Baseball League, and the professional 2010 Northern League Champions, Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks. Previous collegiate coaching jobs have included NDSU, University of Minnesota-Crookston, Concordia College, and Mesabi Range College. Erzar is currently the Head Coach for the Century College Wood Ducks

Hailing from Mahtomedi, Danny Larson joined P2P in 2019 as its Operations & Millers Director. Coach Larson is currently the Hitting Coach for the Trojans at North Iowa Area Community. Previously Larson was the Head Varsity Coach at North St. Paul High School and was hired as the youngest Varsity Coach in MN history. Larson also spent time coaching for Irondale High School, St. Thomas Academy, and various club programs. Larson was also the Head Coach for the Tri-City Maroon Legion team. As a Legion Coach, Larson took over a team who went 3-15 the previous season, and brought them to a 15-6 and 18-8 record in two seasons. Larson was recognized as a 2018 Legion Coach of the Year Award winner. Coach Larson oversees our brand, our P2P Millers teams and coaches our 17U National Summer team.

Zach Hoffmann has been with the P2P Staff since 2014. Hoffmann played his high school days in New Ulm, where he was a two-sport all-conference selection, all-state baseball selection, and New Ulm's Athlete of the Year. Zach went on to start at 1B for four years at SCSU, where he finished with a .353 career average and 21 HRs. An all-conference selection in 2016, he played his summers in the JayHawk League for the Kansas BeeJays. Zach spent a year coaching in the Beach Collegiate Summer League, and was previously a trainer at Acceleration Northwest. Hoffmann is an expert hitting trainer, oversees the Velo Hitting program, coaches P2P Millers teams year-round and leads operations and growth for the P2P SW region.

Brett Boxwell joined the P2P Staff in 2014 and has been a constant positive presence for athletes in the NW metro ever since. Boxwell played his high school career at Coon Rapids High School and in the Tri-City Legion program. After high school, Brett went on to pitch at Anoka-Ramsey CC, and continues to play in the summers with the Blaine Fusion. Boxwell is the Assistant Coach for both the Coon Rapids High School Varsity Team and Coon Rapids Legion Team. A true student of the game, Coach Boxwell is constantly working on integrating new technology and training advancements into the P2P Velo Hitting program, coaches P2P Millers teams year-round, and plays a lead role in operating and growing the P2P NW region.

Kevin Kirkwold joined the P2P Millers Staff in 2017. Coach Kirkwold was a Lions All-Star at Mounds View High School, and played collegiately at Winona State. Previous coaching positions included Simley High School, Academy of Holy Angels, Inver Grove Heights Legion, and various clubs. Coach Kirkwold has collegiate coaching experience as an assistant coach at DCTC. Kirkwold helps oversee the P2P Millers program and serves as the Millers Varsity Coach.

Corey Binger was an original P2P Miller player in 2012-13 and has come back to coach P2P athletes. At Eden Prairie High School, Binger was an All-Conference and All-Metro selection while spending offseasons with the Millers. Corey pitched three seasons for the D1 Omaha Mavericks in college, where he was named Summit League Pitcher of the Week three times. He recorded 11 wins on the mound as an Omaha Maverick. Binger finished his college career at Minnesota State-Mankato, and spent summers in the Northwoods League with the Willmar Stingers. Coach Binger works with the Velocity Program, academy, lessons, and coaches P2P Millers teams.

Tom Windle was the first athlete P2P trained in 2004. Windle played at Osseo High School, where he was an All-State performer and a Gatorade Player of the Year and Mr. Baseball Finalist in 2010 before becoming a Golden Gopher pitcher. Windle finished his Gopher career with a 2.26 ERA, an All-Big Ten selection, and a complete game no-hitter. He spent summers in the Cape Cod League. Windle was selected by the LA Dodgers in the 2nd Round of the 2013 MLB Draft and is entering his eighth season of MiLB, reaching as high as AAA between the Dodgers, Red Sox, and Phillies organizations.

John Straka attended Chaska High School where he was a three-year All-Conference pitcher and catcher and was an All-State selection his senior season. Straka pitched for NDSU in college and was a two-time All-Summit League selection, finishing with a 22-11 record and a 2.56 ERA. John was drafted by Texas Rangers in the 32rd Round of the 2013 MLB Draft. Over six pro seasons with the Rangers, Blue Jays, and Independent orgs, Straka threw over 400 innings and reached the AA level. Coach Straka now works closely with the Velocity Program, Performance Program, and P2P Millers teams.

Brad Landgrebe played infield for Eastview High School, and went on to play collegiately at Augsburg University. Since college, Brad has been dedicated to helping youth and high school athletes reach their next level of the game. Brad coached in the Eastview program for several years, was the Head Coach of the Eagan Patriots Junior Legion team for three seasons, and has been the Head Coach of the Prior Lake Junior Legion team since 2015. Coach Landgrebe joined P2P in 2015, and has coached high school P2P Millers teams year-round since.

John Groebner has been on staff at P2P for over a half-decade. Groebner is a seasoned high school coach, and was the Head Coach at his hometown Osseo High School for nine seasons. Head VFW Coach was also a part of John's role with the Orioles program. Groebner has been a major part of the baseball journey for dozens of successful collegiate athletes coming out of Osseo and P2P. Coach Groebner has coached several P2P Millers teams over the years.

Alex Boxwell has been with P2P for several years, primarily training in the Velo Hitting program, Academy and Lessons. Boxwell was a Mr. Baseball Finalist from Coon Rapids High School, where he was an All-State outfielder for the Cardinals. Alex played his college career at Minnesota, where he was a four-year starter in the outfield, and played summers with the Waterloo Bucks of the Northwoods League. A dynamic athlete, Boxwell ripped 42 XBHs and stole 32 bases for the Gophers, earning an appearance in the 2015 MLB Dreams Showcase. Coach Boxwell is entering his fifth season of pro baseball, spending the past two with the St. Paul Saints, Gary RailCats, and Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks of the American Association.

Casey Garven is an Instructor at P2P SW. Growing up, Garven was a notable actor, playing Larson in the Mighty Ducks series, later appearing in Drop Dead Gorgeous and the Broadway musical Bare. Garven was a standout multi-sport athlete at Academy of Holy Angels and went on to play baseball at both University of Minnesota-Duluth and University of St. Thomas, where he posted a .397 batting average in 2004, and was a national champion in 2001.
