Bio:
John Bezdicek, a left-handed pitcher from Plymouth, Minnesota, has demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication throughout his baseball career. A 2017 graduate of Osseo High School, he earned all-conference honors and participated in the Minnesota All-Star series.
Continuing his athletic and academic journey, Bezdicek attended Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) from 2018 to 2021. During his tenure, he became a pivotal figure in the Mustangs’ pitching rotation, leading the team in strikeouts and innings pitched. His impressive performances earned him multiple accolades, including being a three-time NSIC Pitcher of the Week and receiving Academic All-NSIC honors.
In 2022, Bezdicek transferred to Kennesaw State University, where he continued to excel on the mound. He made 18 appearances, including 17 starts, and maintained a 3.76 ERA over 81.1 innings, striking out 86 batters.
Following his collegiate success, Bezdicek transitioned to professional baseball, joining the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association. In his debut season, he secured two wins over eight starts, maintaining a 3.76 ERA and striking out 43 batters in 40.2 innings. He continued with the Saltdogs in 2023, making 17 appearances and recording five wins.
